Chitrakoot (5:19)

Chitrakoot, where Bharata came to beg Sri Rama to return to Ayodhya and accept the throne

As Sri Rama, Laksmana and Srimati Sita devi course across the sky in the Puspaka vimana on Their way home to Ayodhya, Rama points out to Sita the various places They had visited on Their trek from Ayodhya to Lanka.  One of the most significant spots is Chitrakoot, the lovely mountain dwelling recommended by the Sage Bharadwaja, where the royal Threesome first stayed.  They had remained there for only a short time, as the place had quickly become flooded with unhappy memories after Bharata came there to beg Sri Rama to return to Ayodhya to accept the crown, which Rama did not agree to do unless and until His fourteen-year exile was completed.  Upon seeing Chitrakoot again after a long time, though, Their mood is again happy.  They have completed their exile of fourteen years and are now returning home to Ayodhya-dhama. Lord Sri Rama will now accept the throne and the rulership of the world.
